Bad acne can cause a person a lot of stress. It can make them feel ugly, undesirable, and generally uncomfortable about their appearance. I suffered from acne growing up, and it was not a pleasant experience at all. I developed bad acne scars and I was very insecure about my appearance. Looking back on that, I wish I wouldn't have taken it so seriously. It caused me lots of undue stress, and I found myself constantly searching the web for acne treatments. All the treatments out there seemed to have a bunch of bad acne pictures and then pictures showing how effective their product was on the bad acne. I tried several acne treatments and had hardly any success getting rid of my own acne problems. I spent a great deal of money trying to find the best treatment for myself. There has been some research done on this subject, and the results suggested that there was indeed a link between diet and bad acne. This research is what convinced me to begin altering my diet in order to improve my bad acne. The research was done by doctors at the RMIT University and the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia. The results were pretty interesting, but as always I tend to look at everything skeptically. It's just not uncommon for people to try and make money off of people who are desperate to fix something, and there is no doubt in my mind that I was desperate to fix my bad acne. But, I did find their results promising.

I ended up deciding that it wouldn't hurt to try altering my diet to fix my bad acne. If it worked, great. If not, well what did I really lose by trying? They ended up releasing a diet based upon their research, and that is what I ended up using. The only immediate results that I had seen was that the acne on my forehead began disappearing within a couple weeks The other acne didn't show any improvement for a couple months, so it's not a miracle end all to acne. But, it did improve my bad acne, and I eventually got rid of acne altogether by maintaining this diet. I was pleased that I ended up taking this approach rather than desperately buying every product out there that promised to cure my bad acne. People tend to think the worst of things like that, but the person who notices acne the most, is the person who has it.
